Congo Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 2/3 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 lb. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 small bag chocolate chips (6 oz.)
Preparation

Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Melt shortening and stir in brown sugar.
Let sugar mixture cool and beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture and chocolate bits.
Pour into greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool, then cut in squares.
