Refrigerator Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. shredded cabbage
    2 c. diced celery
    grated carrots and diced green peppers (if desired)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Boil together sugar, vinegar, water and mustard seed; let cool. Mix together cabbage, celery, carrots and diced peppers.
    Pour dressing over cabbage mixture.
    Salt to taste.
    Chill in refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours.
