Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. chicken parts
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 large onion
    2 cloves garlic (fine)
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms (thin)
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 bay leaf
    2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
    1/3 c. tomato paste
    3/4 c. whit wine
    3/4 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1 large green pepper, seeded and cut into strips
Preparation
    In a large skillet, brown chicken in oil until golden brown. Add onion and garlic.
    In a small bowl, combine all other ingredients except mushrooms, pepper and tomatoes.
    Pour this over the chicken. Stir occasionally and let simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add fresh vegetables and cover.
    Let simmer for about 30 minutes more. Serve immediately with rice, pasta or bread.
    Also tastes great! (Be sure to remove bay leaf after cooking.)
