Seven Minute Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites (unbeaten)
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cold water
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler.
Place over boiling water; beat for about 7 minutes, stopping a few times to clean beater and sides of boiler with scraper.
Remove from boiling water when frosting stands in glossy peaks (has more body than meringue).
Continue beating until frosting is cool and thick enough to form swirls.
This is enough for 3 layers or 1 pound cake.
