Maui Macjackers - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
6 c. popcorn
3/4 c. Macadamia nut halves (salted)

Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients and cook slowly over medium heat. Stir gently until mixture boils.
Continue cooking until mixture reaches hard texture when dropped in cold water (290\u00b0 candy thermometer).
Remove from heat; add vanilla and baking soda, stirring well.
Pour over popcorn and nuts in large bowl.
Mix thoroughly.
