Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white syrup
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. pecans
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine syrup, sugar, pecans and salt together in a pot and cook on small burner, stirring constantly.
    When it comes to a boil, cook for 12 minutes.
    Drop a pecan into cold water.
    If it is hard, then it is done.
    Stir in baking soda, it will foam up. Pour thin coat on aluminum foil.
    Do not spread out with spoon. After it cools, break into pieces.
