Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 very ripe bananas, mashed
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 whole eggs
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Slice bananas into a mixer bowl and beat well.
    Add baking soda, salt and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    In a separate bowl, mix together butter, sugar and eggs.
    Add flour, a little at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Combine with banana mixture and beat well.
    (Can add 1/4 cup raisins dusted with 1 tablespoon flour, if desired.
    We like it best without raisins.)
    Bake in 2 buttered 9 x 5-inch loaf pans for about 45 minutes.
    (Recipe can be halved to make 1 loaf.)
