Butter Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture with vanilla.
    Grease two 9-inch cake pans and line with wax paper.
    Put batter in and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool in pans.
