Smothered Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 heads cabbage, cleaned
    1 to 2 large onions
    2 to 3 pkg. beef short ribs
    salt
    pepper
    garlic powder
    onion powder
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    3 c. long grain rice
Preparation
    Salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder meat to taste.
    Heat oil in a large pot.
    Brown short ribs and add onions.
    Put clean cabbage leaves on top.
    Continue until all cabbage is cooked. Stir to bring meat up and cabbage on bottom.
    Watch to make sure there is at least half a pot of water.
    Stir now and then.
    Cook until leaves are tender.
    Serve over cooked rice.
