Powdered Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda and cream of tartar
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and butter; gradually add powdered sugar, creaming well.
    Add egg and flavorings; beat until fluffy.
    Stir in pecans; drop small spoonfuls (or shape into small balls or crescents) on ungreased baking sheets.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until creamy tan color.
    While hot, roll in powdered sugar.
    Makes 6 1/2 to 7 dozen.
