Granny'S "Squish" Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. oil
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until very stiff. Gradually beat in 1/2 cup sugar and continue beating until very stiff and glossy.
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into another bowl. Add oil, half the milk and vanilla in a well in the flour mixture. Beat 1 minute. Add remaining milk and egg yolks.
    Beat 1 minute. Fold in egg whites.
    Pour in greased and dusted 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 until done.
