"Red Slaw" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large cabbage
    2 large green peppers (optional)
    1 qt. diced tomatoes (2 cans)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 to 1 Tbsp. pepper
    1/2 pt. sweet relish
Preparation
    Mix finely grated cabbage, chopped green peppers, tomatoes and sweet relish in a large bowl. Heat vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper until sugar melts. Pour over cabbage mixture. Stir. Seal and refrigerate. Better the 2nd day.
