Fettoosh Salad(Syrian) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pita bread
2 c. parsley
1/2 c. mint leaves
1/2 c. carrots, sliced
3 c. tomatoes, sliced
1 c. cucumber, sliced
3 c. lettuce
1 Tbsp. sumaq
1 c. olive oil
1 c. green onions, chopped
salt
1 lemon juice (optional)
garlic (optional)
Preparation

Roast bread; cube it and set aside.
Wash all vegetables. Break parsley and mint leaves off stems.
Slice carrots and cucumbers.
Cut tomatoes into chunks.
Tear lettuce into pieces and chop onions.
Mix all together.
Add lemon juice, olive oil, salt, sumaq (if available) and garlic.
Add roasted bread 15 minutes before serving.
Mix well.
