Chick Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. lean beef or pork
    3-4 qts. water
    1 whole onion
    1-2 celery stalks
    3 cans chick peas, rinsed
    3 chopped carrots
    2-3 chopped potatoes
    1 or 2 links spicy \"hot\" sausage
    salt & pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef (or pork). Add water to meat. Add onion and celery. Simmer for 3 hours. Discard onion and celery. Add chick peas, carrots, potatoes and sausage. Simmer for 2 hours. Add salt & pepper to taste.
    Better the next day.
