Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 red bell peppers
    12 green bell peppers
    12 onions
    1 cabbage head
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    flavor to taste with hot pepper, red or green pepper
    1 Tbsp. salt (or more)
Preparation
    Chop peppers, onions and cabbage.
    Cover with boiling water; let stand 5 minutes.
    Drain.
    Add vinegar, sugar and salt and boil mixture 5 minutes.
    Put into jars and seal.
