Deluxe Ham And Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    water
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 small garlic clove, cut in half
    1 lb. potatoes, cut in 1-inch chunks
    1 lb. cooked ham, coarsely chopped
    3 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
    1 small head iceberg lettuce, coarsely chopped
    1/2 c. tarragon vinegar
    1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 medium head leaf lettuce
Preparation
    In a 1 quart saucepan, place eggs and enough water to come 1-inch above tops of eggs.
    Over high heat, heat to boiling. Remove saucepan from heat.
    Cover tightly and let eggs stand in hot water for 15 minutes.
    Drain.
