Cream Of Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. chopped green onions and tops
    2 c. chopped mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. half and half
    1 c. chicken broth
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In large skillet, cook onions with butter over low heat for 5 minutes, or until tender.
    Add chopped mushrooms and cook, stirring for 2 minutes.
    Add flour and cook, stirring for 3 minutes.
    Add chicken broth.
    Turn heat to low and add half and half in a steady stream whisking while pouring.
    Bring soup to a steady/gentle boil over moderate heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
    Serves 4.
    Tastes better made ahead and reheated.
