Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 3/4 c. Wesson oil
    2 eggs, beaten well
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor
Preparation
    Cream together the sugar, oil and eggs.
    In a separate bowl, mix flour, soda and salt.
    In a third bowl, mix cocoa, food coloring and 1/2 cup of buttermilk.
    Slowly add the cocoa mixture to the eggs, sugar and oil mixture.
    To this, add the flour mixture alternately with other 1/2 cup of buttermilk.
    Add vanilla; beat well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 27 minutes.
    Do not overcook.
    Cool before frosting.
