"The Original" Hillary Clinton'S Chocolate Chip Cookies! - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    2 c. rolled oats
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease baking sheets.
    Combine flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.
    With electric mixer on high speed, beat shortening, sugars and vanilla until creamy.
    Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
    Gradually stir in flour mixture and oats.
    Stir in chocolate chips.
    Drop dough by well rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
    Cool on baking sheet.
    Makes 7 1/2 dozen. Each contains 68 calories, 1 gram protein, 4 grams fat, 5 mg cholesterol, 8 grams carbohydrates and 36 mg sodium.
