Never-Fail Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sour or sweet milk
    1 tsp. soda or 2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Put into bowl in order given.
    Do not mix until last item has been added, then beat well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or so. Makes approximately 2 dozen.
