Chocolate Intrigue(Pound Cake With Chocolate Center) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chocolate syrup
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
Add milk and vanilla.
Mix.
Alternate mixing wet and dry ingredients, blending well after each addition.
Pour 2/3 of batter into a 10-inch tube pan, greased on the bottom.
Add to the remaining batter the chocolate syrup, soda and mint extract. Mix well and pour over white batter.
Do not mix together! Bake at 350\u00b0 for 65 to 70 minutes.
Cool in the pan.
