Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
3 c. bread flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter (sweet gives most authentic taste)
1 c. less 1 Tbsp. hot water
2 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation

Whip egg whites and set aside.
Mix yeast, flour, sugar and salt together.
Add butter and water; mix until moist.
Add egg whites and mix.
Knead dough on floured surface about 10 to 15 minutes, until dough is elastic.
Put dough into lightly greased bowl and grease top lightly.
Cover bowl with clean cloth.
Let rise until doubled (about 1 1/2 hours).
