Chicken In Wine In No Time - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 c. dry white wine
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. oil or margarine
    1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms (optional)
    water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper in paper bag.
    Shake chicken pieces to coat.
    Brown chicken on all sides in skillet.
    Sprinkle with onion soup.
    Add white wine, mushrooms and a little water. Cover; simmer until tender, about 45 minutes.
    Serve over rice. Serves 4.
