Chewy Pecan Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 eggs
1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

In top of double boiler, heat (slightly) beaten eggs in brown sugar.
Over
boiling
water, cook, stirring constantly until thickened,
about
10
minutes.
Mix last 4 ingredients together and
add
to thickened mixture along with the vanilla extract. Pour
into
buttered
13
x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in moderate oven at
350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
When completely cool, dust with confectioners sugar.
