Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. (two 10 oz. pkg.) frozen sliced strawberries, completely thawed
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. solid shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch pan; sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan.
Combine thawed strawberries and gelatin; set aside.
Mix unsifted flour with other ingredients. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
Pour batter over marshmallows. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter.
