Shasta Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow or white cake mix
    1 can Shasta strawberry pop
    1 small pkg. strawberry jello
    1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    1 small container Cool Whip
    1 banana, thinly sliced (optional)
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
    Poke holes in cake with finger or wooden spoon handle when cool.
    In separate bowl, put 1 can of strawberry pop.
    Add enough water to the pop to make 2 cups liquid.
    Boil. Add strawberry jello to liquid.
    Pour into holes and refrigerate until cool.
    Mix vanilla instant pudding with a little less milk than it calls for.
    Mix in Cool Whip.
    Ice cake.
