Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 medium potatoes
    1 qt. water (approximate)
    salt to taste
    6 to 8 clams, chopped
    1/2 c. diced country ham
    dash of black pepper
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    corn meal to thicken (approximately 2/3 c.)
Preparation
    Dice potatoes and onion in small pieces.
    Place in saucepan with salt, pepper, ham and water to cook until potatoes are tender.
    Mix corn meal with water so that mixture is thick.
    Add to cooking ingredients; cook until desired consistency.
    Add clams; cook approximately 6 to 8 minutes.
