Heavenly Hamburger Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

8 slices bread
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. diced onion
2 Tbsp. diced celery
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1 c. shredded American cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk

Preparation

Spread bread lightly with butter and arrange in bottom of eight-inch square baking dish.
Toast lightly in moderate oven. While bread is toasting, brown meat with onion and celery in butter or margarine.
Mix in mustard.
Spread meat mixture over toasted bread.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of meat.
Cover remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.
Combine eggs with milk and pour over bread.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
To make this even quicker; toast the bread lightly in the automatic toaster.
