Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. onion, finely chopped
    5 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/2 c. oil
    5 lb. ground beef
    3 qt. tomato sauce
    1 qt. tomato paste
    1 tsp. basil, crumbled
    1 Tbsp. oregano, crumbled
    2 lb. 8 oz. noodles (lasagna)
    2 gal. water
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 lb. 8 oz. Swiss or Mozzarella cheese, grated
    1 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese (dry or drained)
    2 lb. 8 oz. cottage cheese (dry or drained)
Preparation
    Cook onion and garlic in oil.
    Add ground beef; cook slowly. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and spices; continue cooking for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cook noodles and drain. Arrange in pans: layer of overlapping noodles, layer of meat sauce, Swiss or Mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese.
    Repeat noodles, meat, cheese and noodles; spoon remainder of meat sauce on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
