Aunt Adah'S Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak or sirloin
    2/3 c. water
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms or 12 oz. can with liquid
    1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. sour cream
    2/3 c. dry white wine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    salt and pepper
    1 tsp. dried parsley
    1 tsp. dried chives
Preparation
    Cut meat in diagonal strips.
    Lightly flour, salt and pepper. Brown meat in 3 tablespoons oil.
    Add water, mushrooms (including liquid if canned).
    Tougher cuts of meat will need to cook longer. Stir in soup mix and spices.
    Heat just to boiling.
    Blend sour cream in flour; add to liquid mixture and cook until thickened. Sauce will be thin.
    Serve over cooked noodles.
    Serve baby green peas on the side and green salad.
