Quick Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 stick oleo
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    3 c. fresh sliced peaches
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Melt oleo in deep pan.
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, milk and salt.
    Distribute evenly over the melted oleo. Do not stir.
    Mix fresh peaches with 1 cup sugar and let stand until sugar makes a syrup.
    Spoon evenly over batter.
    Do not stir.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until evenly browned. Batter will come to top.
