Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cut up beef, browned
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. savory
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. margarine
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 onions, chopped
    1 can tomatoes
    1 c. diced carrots
    4 c. cubed potatoes
Preparation
    Set potatoes and carrots aside.
    Simmer all other ingredients for 1 1/2 hours; stir frequently.
    The last half hour, add potatoes and carrots.
    Makes 6 servings.
