Dakota Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 c. sour cream (not cultured)
pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice

Preparation

Beat the egg and add the cream and continue beating.
Put dry ingredients into sifter and add alternately with molasses and sweet milk.
Beat thoroughly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean.
