Quick Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c sifted self rising flour
    3 tbsp sugar
    1/3 c butter
    1 egg
    about 1/2 c milk
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and butter.
    Beat egg in measuring cup; add enough milk to make 2/3 c. Mix flour mixture and egg mixture.
    Turn out onto lightly floured pastry sheet.
    Knead just until smooth. Roll dough to about 1/4-inch thick and cut with doughnut cutter. Deep fry for 3-4 minutes at 450\u00b0.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Sift confectioners sugar over doughnuts.
    Makes about 15 doughnuts.
