Fred'S Favorite Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    12 to 15 Ritz crackers, crushed
    1 egg
    1 onion, chopped
    dash of garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 can tomato soup
    4 or 5 potatoes, cut in chunks
    3 or 4 carrots, cut in chunks
Preparation
    Combine beef, crackers, egg, onion and seasonings.
    Mix well. Make a hole in the mixture and fill with about 1/4 cup undiluted tomato soup.
    Mix again, working in the tomato soup.
    Form mixture into loaf and place in a 9 x 13-inch dish coated with vegetable oil.
    Dilute remaining soup with 3/4 cup water and pour over the meat loaf.
    Surround with potatoes and carrots.
    Salt and pepper vegetables to taste.
    Cover with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
    Remove foil and bake until meat loaf is brown on top.
