Chewy Chocolate Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 c. flaked coconut
    1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
    1 (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    24 red candied cherries, halved
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease cookie sheet.
    In large bowl, stir together coconut and cocoa; stir in condensed milk and vanilla until well blended.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Press cherry half into center of each cookie.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost set.
    Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
    Cool completely.
    Store loosely covered at room temperature.
    Makes 4 dozen.
