Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. hot water
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over cornmeal; let stand until cool.
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs until light, then add to cornmeal.
    Add milk, flour and melted butter.
    Beat until batter is smooth.
    Pour into a shallow, well greased pan. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
