Canned Apple Pie Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
10 c. boiling water
5 1/2 to 6 lb. apples
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice

Preparation

To tell if eggs are fresh, place an egg in a pan of cold water.
If it lies on its side, it's fresh.
If it tilts, it's about 3 to 4 days old.
If the egg stands upright, it's probably at least 10 days old.
If it floats to the top, it shouldn't be used.
