Fried Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large ears of corn
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/2 c. cold water
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c. oleo
Preparation
    Remove husk and silk from corn; cut twice real thin.
    Scrape down.
    Mix corn, salt, black pepper, sugar, flour and cold water. Mix well.
    Melt shortening; pour corn in skillet.
    Cook for about 20 minutes.
    Add oleo and continue cooking for about 20 minutes more.
    Stir continually until done.
