Savory Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium onions, diced
    3 Tbsp. fat (if necessary)
    2 or 3 lb. round steak
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. cloves and thyme
    3 bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1/2 pt. hot water
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. catsup
Preparation
    Brown onions
    and
    meat, which has been cut in cubes in serving pieces.
    Mix dry ingredients; sprinkle over meat.
    Add bouillon, water, vinegar and catsup.
    Stir until well blended; cover.
    Simmer
    1
    1/2 hours until tender.\t(If you use canned meat it does not need to simmer as long.)
