Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 or 8 lb. large cucumbers
    1 c. lime
    food coloring (red/green)
    1 Tbsp. alum
    3 c. vinegar
    12 to 15 c. sugar
    12 sticks cinnamon
    1 1/2 or 2 pkg. cinnamon red hots
    3 c. water
Preparation
    Use large cucumbers.
    Peel off green rind.
    Take out seed and cut in 1/4-inch slices or 1-inch cubes.
    Soak in 1 cup lime water for 24 hours.
