Pennsylvania Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    4 c. shredded red cabbage
    2 c. chopped red apples
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Heat bacon drippings.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer, covered, for 15 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender.
