Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    dash of salt
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put sugar, corn syrup, water, salt and peanuts into a 2-quart microwave measuring cup.
    Do not cover.
    Cook on High for 5 minutes. Stir.
    Cook on High for 13 to 15 minutes, until hard crack stage (300\u00b0 on the candy thermometer).
    Check temperature several times during the last few minutes.
    Do not leave thermometer in microwave.
    Stir in butter, soda and vanilla until light and bubbly.
    Pour onto buttered cookie sheet.
    Spread. Cool.
    Break into pieces.
