Irene'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oil
3 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. very hot water
1 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. water
1 tsp. ground cloves
pinch of salt
1 c. dark molasses
Preparation

Cream together oil and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs. Sift flour, then sift again with spices added.
Mix baking soda with 2 teaspoons water
and add to oil/sugar mixture.
Add molasses, then add the flour and spices.
Lastly, mix in the hot water.
Pour mixture in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0
for about 45 minutes.
