Seven-Up Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Seven-Up
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 small can pineapple, drained
    1 small box lime jello
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 small bottle cherries, drained
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Preparation
    Put Seven-Up in pot. Add marshmallows. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil and marshmallows are well melted. Set off heat. Add jello and mix well.
    Put in refrigerator.
    Keep check on mixture and stir occasionally.
    When mixture is cold and about ready to set, add pineapple, nuts, cherries and whipped cream last.
    Mix well.
    Let salad set for several hours.
