French Oven Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    12 slices enriched bread
Preparation
    Combine beaten eggs, salt, sugar, milk and almond extract. Dip sliced bread into mixture.
    Place slices on well-greased cookie sheet and brown in extremely hot oven at 500\u00b0.
    Turn toast after 10 minutes and brown on other side.
    Serve with honey butter or maple syrup.
    Makes 6 servings, 2 slices per serving.
    (This toast may be reheated satisfactorily.)
