Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 can crushed pineapple
    1 small tub Cool Whip
    1 bottle maraschino cherries
    1 stick butter
    1 bag (small) pretzels
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Crush 1 cup of pretzels.
    Mix with the butter and 1/2 cup of sugar.
    Spread in bottom
    of a 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 5 to 6 minutes.
