Mexican Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 pork chops (1/2-inch thick)
    1 large green pepper, sliced
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic
    1 c. plus 1 (6 oz.) can water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Salt and pepper pork chops; brown in a large skillet.
    Place a slice of onion and green pepper on each pork chop.
    Mix tomato paste and water; pour over chops.
    Simmer for 45 minutes or until tender.
    Serve with rice.
