Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal (plain)
1 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. salt
1 egg
6 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 1/2 to 2 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients.
Add chopped onion, then milk and egg. Drop by spoonfuls into hot grease.
Cook until golden brown.
Drain on brown paper or paper towels.
