Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar plus 1/4 c. sugar mixed with 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 large eggs
Preparation
    Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and sift again.
    Set aside.
    Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
    Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add the flour mixture in 4 parts and beat thoroughly, after adding each part.
    Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Roll dough into balls about the size of a walnut, then roll each in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
    Place about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until just lightly browned, but still soft.
    Makes about 3 dozen.
